This is a favourite style for Maria Morris Couture clients. Pollyanna has a high / low hem skirt on a fit and flare narrow silhouette. This version has a sweetheart neckline and cute, sheer cap sleeves. Endlessly adaptable, we will tailor every detail of the cut to ensure your Pollyanna dress perfectly flatters your figure.
Shown here with a sharp ivory underlayer (always with the Brides approval!) the embroidered tulle has flowing flower and leaf tendril motifs in multi colours. The ivory really makes the pastel shades pop and can be accessorised with any of the complimenting shades. It has hand appliqued beads and crystals for a three dimensional effect and gives a gentle sparkle in sunshine or in evening light. A perfect choice for a modern Mother of the bride or groom.

Every outfit we create is designed and made exclusively for you. Our bespoke service is ideal for Mothers of the Bride and Mothers of the Groom who want something truly individual, beautifully made, and perfectly fitted.
From the very first consultation, you are in complete control of every detail of your design, supported and guided by our expert team. Our role is to remove the stress and uncertainty often associated with choosing occasionwear, making the entire experience relaxed, enjoyable, and deeply personal.
Design & Personalisation
Our exclusive designs are created individually for each client and can be altered in every way to reflect your personal style, shape, and the formality of the wedding.
As part of our fully made-to-measure service, your journey includes a toile (calico fitting) — a trial version of your outfit created in simple fabric. This allows you to see the silhouette, refine proportions, and approve every design detail before we perfect the fit.
Only once you are completely happy do we move on to creating your Mother of the Bride or Mother of the Groom outfit in your chosen luxury fabric.
Fabric & Embellishment
All of our designs are available in a wide and carefully curated selection of exquisite fabrics and laces. Your chosen design can be made in any colour, with optional embroidered, beaded, or crystal-embellished laces to ensure the final result is entirely unique.
We source our fabrics from leading luxury houses around the world and offer silk in over 300 beautiful shades. Maria will gently and expertly guide you towards the most flattering colours for your skin tone, and help you select embellishments that elevate your design without overwhelming it.
Made to Measure – Every Body, Every Size
Every Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom outfit we create is made to measure, with your individual proportions carefully considered.
Our designs are created to highlight your best features and subtly draw attention away from anything you may feel less confident about. We have no upper or lower size limits, and we proudly design for Petites, Plus Sizes, and everything in between — guaranteeing a flawless, comfortable fit.
Made in England
All of our designs are created entirely in-house at our Cheshire studio. Using traditional couture techniques, we uphold the finest traditions of English dressmaking and hand embroidery.
From first sketch to final fitting, your outfit is crafted with exceptional care, skill, and attention to detail — resulting in a piece that feels as special as the occasion itself.
